My name is Lucía Lasaga, I am Argentinian, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Master’s degree in Taxation and an MBA. Over the past two years, I have been deeply immersed in the world of startups, working to combine my professional expertise with my passion for accessibility and inclusive services, particularly in the travel industry. I am the founder of Tripper, which originally began as a response to my personal experiences as a traveler with severe visual and auditory disabilities. During my travels, I encountered significant limitations in accessibility services, often reduced to offering a wheelchair, even though I can walk. This lack of tailored assistance inspired me to create Tripper, a platform designed to address the broader needs of travelers who are people of determination.
Tripper has since evolved into a SaaS platform for travel agencies, with accessibility as a fundamental pillar. Our goal is to equip agencies with the data and tools necessary to offer comprehensive services to people of determination, ensuring accessibility is integrated into all aspects of travel, including the airport services that were central to the original concept. This transition reflects the flexibility and resilience needed to adapt to market demands, and Tripper now helps agencies provide personalized, inclusive services, allowing travelers to navigate their journey with confidence. My background as a CPA and business advisor has also allowed me to bring a unique blend of professional and entrepreneurial skills to this project.
Being invited to participate in the World Congress on Rehabilitation 2024 is an incredible honor. I look forward to sharing my insights on accessibility in airports and discussing how we can collectively improve the travel experience for people of determination.
